Innovations in Health Professions

Boston Campus—July 6- 18, 2025

Discovering the personal effect of healthcare

Through this two-week interactive experiential program, students will explore the broad scope of careers in health professions. A particular emphasis will be placed on the impact on patients and communities while students work with faculty in various health fields. Throughout the experience, students may participate in medical simulations, practice clinical skills, and complete an advanced CPR certification and Stop the Bleed program. In the past, students have also visited an ambulance dispatch center to see what it is like to be a first-responder.

The Innovations in Health Professions pre-college program through Northeastern University provided great preparation and understanding into the field of medicine and its requirements. I appreciated the diversity of students and staff within the program as well as the on-campus experience. Through learning how to suture, how to perform an ultrasound, and by participating in a protein lab, I left the program with a strong desire to continue my studies in the field of medicine with the hopes of one day becoming a Physician Assistant.
